Oracle — Senior Cloud Operations Engineer

Posted: 18-07-2026

Salary: ₹16 - ₹28 Lakhs/Annum Expected

Description:

Oracle is hiring a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer (IC3) to oversee, secure, and optimize its hyper-scale global production environments. Positioned within the core product development framework, this infrastructure role handles high-priority escalations caused by massive scaling, traffic growth, and complex database dependencies. Rather than performing simple server resets, you will bring deep systems analytics to recommend novel, automated solutions that maximize site reliability. The daily scope balances provisioning bare-metal hardware and virtualized cloud systems, executing hot-patch routines, leading root-cause problem management inquiries, coordinating vendor escalations, and maintaining the absolute system availability metrics required by enterprise cloud platforms.

Key Technologies:

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Systems & Database Appliances, Cloud Operations, Linux/Unix Server OS, Infrastructure Monitoring Tools, Problem Management & Incident Resolution Frameworks, Patching & Automation Tools

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5+ years of direct, hands-on professional systems administration, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or cloud platform operations experience running high-traffic enterprise production environments.
  • Practical, deep technical knowledge administering compute instances, software-defined networks, storage constructs, and identity access layers within Oracle's native cloud ecosystem.
  • Technical familiarity coordinating, maintaining, and scaling high-performance database and storage infrastructures, with specialized exposure to Oracle integrated system/database appliances.
  • Proven track record providing advanced escalation support to diagnose and remediate deep-tier systemic faults across interconnected networks, application layers, and server grids.
  • Direct capability executing seamless operating system upgrades, critical bug hotfixes, firmware updates, and vulnerability security patching under tight zero-downtime constraints.
  • Experience leading incident post-mortems and problem management workflows—orchestrating multi-functional internal technical squads and third-party vendors to drive definitive root-cause isolation.
  • Ability to design, drive, and deploy software and hardware standardization frameworks across distributed server environments to optimize overall infrastructure supportability.
  • Commitment to participate actively in a rotating 24/7 critical incident response on-call support schedule to protect core global systems availability.
  • Fluent written and spoken technical English communication is mandatory. Candidates must have valid legal work status inside India, as work visa/permit sponsorship is explicitly unavailable.
  • Sharp analytical reasoning under intense production incidents, high ownership habits to lead technical escalations independently, and the clear communications skills necessary to present technical summaries to executive management.
